Grid-tied solar system

Grid-tied solar system

A Grid-tied solar system is directly connected to the Utility power grid. This system combines the solar power with the utility power grid, providing a continual power flow across both directions. When the solar unit produces excess power, it is fed to power grid. When the solar power is not insufficient, it can draw grid-power for uninterrupted power availability. The main components of this system are Solar panels, Panel mounting infrastructure, Invertor, and necessary interconnecting cables with capacities varyings based on the capacity of the whole system.

Advantages:

The Grid-tied solar system is the systematic method of solar power consumption while maintaining a continuous power supply. It also lowers the power bills by way of reverse metering. This system finds wide-applications at Industries and factories, Office Premises and Residence with large rooftops
